Mayweather wins on Round 10 TKO

It only took 10 rounds for Floyd Mayweather Jr. to mute a topdog mixed martial artist Conor McGregor in its promise to KO within four rounds, Saturday night in Las Vegas Nevada via TKO decision.

‘Money’ Mayweather seemed to execute a strategy–to wear out Misty Mac in the first rounds and take care of the job. His tactic worked that drove him to a 50-0 record, proving he’s still the warrior in the boxing ring.

The Irish MMA came out aggressive in the first three rounds, keeping Mayweather at a distance. But there were almost no solid McGregor punches that were made. McGregor was called several times by referee Robert Byrd for hammer-fisting Mayweather.

The Notorious’ steam was starting to run out by fifth round as seen through his wobbling knees and continuing body contact with the ropes.

Mayweather, weighing 149.5 pounds, was starting to aim for McGregor’s head and unleash solid combos. The obviously fatigue McGregor was still the crowd’s favorite fighter.

However, it did not waver Mayweather’s spirit to overwhelm McGregor despite The Notorious being the heavier and bigger fighter at 154 pounds. He started to bully and chase McGregor with a series of right solid punches.

By 10th round, Byrd interfered and decided to stop the fight with almost two minutes remaining.

40-year-old Mayweather announced in the post-fight interview that his duel against the MMA champ would be his final professional boxing match and would retire in his boxing career.

"This was my last fight. For sure, I chose the right dance partner to dance with. Conor, you are a hell of a champion," said Mayweather.

“The Biggest Fight in Combat Sports History” proved its title through the match’s gross drawing up to $600 million, almost breaking all pay-per-view records.
