Pocari Sweat geared up for a sudden death match and ousted Hair Fairy Air Force in a 25-22, 16-25, 23-25, 25-21, 15-12 set in Premier Volleyball League Open Conference finals at Filoil Flying V Centre on Sunday.
Lady Warriors’ fourth straight championship became possible thanks to Jeanetta Panaga and Myla Pablo’s six points in the crucial time.
Pablo’s deep shot and kill block off Iari Yangco and finished off Lady Jet Spikers with 2-2 hits including 20 attacks that elevated them to the best of three Final Four series.
“We just kept the faith and showed teamwork,” said Pablo.
Panaga carved her score from a checkball and submitted twin scores to demolish nine-all, wounding up a total of 18 points.
Balipure dueled in a do-or-die clash semis as well to silence Creamline’s threatening win streak after the sets of 25-19, 19-25, 25-16, 15-25, 15-13, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
